Atlanta Hawks: No. 7 Eastern Conference
The Atlanta Hawks rallied from two consecutive games against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the top-ranked team in the Eastern Conference. And at the center of the game was Trae Young.
Young’s style of play has significantly changed this season. Despite the ups and downs of fieldwork, he saved his teammates to play without trying too hard. As a result, he achieved career high in individual assists and No. 1 overall assist in the league at the same time. Although it is still early days of the season, he proved how powerful “Help Young” is in that he beat Nikola Jokic, the top professional in the field, in second place.
The percentage of players using their hands to calculate the percentage of offense being completed has also sharply decreased to 26.3% this season (31.3% in the last three seasons). This is similar to Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors. Instead, thanks to Young focusing on the flow of the ball, the Atlanta Hawks boast a uniform scoring capacity, with half of the roster scoring double digits. Of course, there is still a challenge to increase Young’s individual efficiency in order for the team to go to a higher level, but considering the effect that Young’s assist has on the team, this is a significant growing pain.
2024-2025 Atlanta Hawks season:
4th place in the 토토사이트 꽁머니 Average Team Assistance League (29.8) / 2nd place in the Average Team Steel League (9.9)
2nd place in the game face league (104.4) / 5th place in the league (91.5) for average fieldwork per game
Atlanta chose Dyson Daniels as Young’s partner, who has major weaknesses in defense. Daniels, who came from the New Orleans Pelicans through a trade, immediately ranked first in the league with an average of 3.0 steals after becoming a starting member. Daniels, who combined with 13.5 points per game, displayed the qualities of the NBA’s best defender in the future, and at the same time succeeded in coexisting with Young, whose predecessor DeJonte Murray also failed.
Atlanta, which has many promising players besides Daniels, has a simple game concept. It is a repetition of “handling -> exploiting the offensive power -> trying many field battles.” With the exception of Young, this may seem like an inevitable option due to the lack of clear handlers, but Coach Quinn Snyder emphasizes the flow of ball to young players. Instead of obsessing over sophisticated fieldwork, he focused on creating quick and reliable opportunities. As a result, Atlanta has transformed itself into a team that is both threatening and selfless to its opponents. As expected, there is nothing better than clear and simple instructions for a young team.
Atlanta has had a lot of trial and error coming this far, but the result is still close to positive. With promising players growing up with a clear core of Young, Atlanta is steadily moving toward a bigger goal.

Sacramento Kings: 12th place in the Western Conference
Aside from the Sacramento Kings’ poor team performance, De’Aaron Parks is having his busiest and hottest season since his debut. First of all, he engraved his name on the Sacramento team’s most points scored.
After exploding with 60 points and 7 assists against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 15, Foxx, who met Utah Jazz as a back-to-back, led his tired body to add 49 points and 9 assists, becoming the first Kings player to score as many as 109 points during a back-to-back schedule (Previous record: DeMarcus Cousins – 104 points). The only NBA player to score more than this is the late Kobe Bryant, who scored 111 points in two days.
Pax’s scoring ability this season has been remarkable. He has achieved a career high in scoring, even though his team’s offense is not dependent on him. In particular, Pax is the team’s most powerful and seventh-ranked clutch scorer in the NBA, with an average of 4.7 points per clutch time. 4.7 points is higher than Kevin Durant and Shay-Gilgers Alexander (4.4 points each). This means that the ball has always been with Pax the moment it is needed. With its isolation based on powerful breakthroughs and extensive activity, the Foxes have been struggling with their opponents all season.
2024-2025 season for the Sacramento Kings:
8th in Offensive Ratings (114.2 points) / 17th in Defensive Ratings (113.6 points)
1st in mid-range scoring ratio (11.6%) / 25th in team 3-point shooting success rate (33.2%)
What’s holding Sacramento back this season is defense and three points. Of course, in the first place, Sacramento was a thoroughly offense-oriented team that never ranked within the top 10 in three seasons under Brown (24th-14th-17th).
The problem is that Harrison Barnes, who was in charge of bad work and three points for the team until last season, was sent out in a trade. Since Pax and Domantas Sabonis do not have much advantage in defense except for grooming, Sacramento was able to fully focus on offense by trusting Barnes’ 3&D resources such as Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis.
